If you are one of those people who has a hard time keeping up with technological advances, you may be interested in this video from a recent episode of the MIT Technology Review Podcast. The show spoke about the “lux” (or, “luminous”) electrical devices that we use every day, like lights, speakers, and televisions. The video was a good example of how all of these technologies are not only the latest, but they’re also designed to be better tomorrow.
In the video, Eric Lippman uses an LED light bulb to show how its lifespan is up to 10 times longer than a traditional incandescent bulb, and you can see it in action at the bottom of the video. I’m not sure how that is with modern LED bulbs, but I guess it could be a lot better if they kept up.
I guess we’re just spoiled for LED bulbs. We use them in our homes and we can also find them in stores. But there are a lot of LED bulbs that are simply just worse. As one of the most important LEDs, incandescent bulbs are pretty much obsolete. But LEDs are being made brighter, cheaper, longer lasting by making them thinner and closer to the source of the light. LEDs are also thinner, which makes them better for outdoor use.
Now, the LED bulb itself is pretty nice. The trick is getting the bulb to fit in your sockets. There are a few different ways you can do this. The easiest is to buy a bulb that’s so small that you can fit it in a socket with a ring, or one that’s a bit larger than a normal socket diameter, but still smaller than a round hole. For the latter type, you can use a screwdriver to tighten the bulb into the socket.
Other methods include using a screwdriver to force the bulb into a small socket. This is much more dangerous, and you cannot screw your bulb in a socket with a ring. So you have to either buy a bulb that’s not so small, or use a screwdriver to force the bulb into the socket so your socket is bigger.
Lux electricity is very rare, and the most common type is called “lux-electricity” and is used for bulbs that have one or more tubes cut in them. These bulbs usually have a filament that is small and fragile, and that’s why they are made with a very thin filament. To make a bulb with a thicker filament, you need to use a thicker lamp. This is mostly due to the fact that thicker lamps cost more to make.
LUX-electricity bulbs aren’t that expensive to make, and the one on the Luxelectricity.com website for example is $25, and the most common ones are $15. All of the bulbs on Luxelectricity are made to the same specifications, but they are not exactly the same.
